But, how do we really tell if we are IN love with someone? Because, I don't know if it's just me, but sometimes I date these idiots only to realize that when it's over I didn't even "love" them? Ya catch me?
1. You've forgotten all about the life-wrecker that broke your heart before. You can't even recall what was so great about them that ever persuaded you to date them in the first place.
2. They cannot leave your mind, no matter what you do to occupy your time they are constantly sneaking their way back into your mind. He/She is the first thing you think of when you wake up, they're the last person you think about before you fall asleep, and you occasionally even dream about them. You begin to notice things that they would like, things that they would enjoy. You're out and about running errands and you see their favorite football team's sticker and you think about them, something you normally wouldn't even think twice about.
3. You actually care. You care as if they are a family member, but in a non-creepy incest way. If she had a bad day, you instantly have a bad day. You want to turn it into a good day for THEM. You want to know more about them, and what they likes/dislike, what makes them laugh and what makes them mad. You want to know because you actually are concerned.
4. You adore their flaws as if they were perfections. The quirky things they do make you smile like you're insane. How they are so OCD about things, or how they always smile even when things aren't funny, or when there's nothing to smile about. How they have to bury their toes in the sand at the beach, or the way they look when they wake up. You can't put your finger on it, but there's something about them that just makes you like them, for them.
5. And finally, every other priority you have tends to jump to the backseat. All you care about is them and how to make them happy. Things that were important are getting a little stagnant, and you can't help but to just put them first. You start thinking about the future, and they're in it. Every plan you make involves them. You don't think as if you're going to be together 4 months from now and if they are going to be available to be your date to your best friend's wedding, because they're in those plans. You've already included them.
If that's not "love" then I honestly don't know what is. But if you find it, don't let it go. Don't beat around the edges, or get mad over stupid things. It all adds up in the end. And you do NOT want your "end" to be a pile of Jenga blocks.
Shout out to Falcon Stewart for being an amazing friend. ♥
